Cailean hargrave
Cailean Hargrave is the Further Education Business Development Manager at IBM, the multinational technology and consultancy provider.
Since starting this role, Cailean has developed new solutions for the education market including “Classroom in the Cloud” technology; creating online spaces for virtual collaboration, encouraging the global expansion of UK education excellence. Cailean has a keen focus on driving the thought leadership of key college network consortia and creating strategic relationships with top education institutes to demonstrate a new dimension of viewing and running the business of education to bring value to learners.
Previously, Cailean studied Business and Financial Management. He worked as a consultant to awarding organisations and the 157 Group of colleges to create a new model of awarding in order to claw back £1bn of public funds and standardise the experience for learners. Additionally, he pioneered the use of analytics in CRM for the University of Sunderland to optimise student services.
He is a firm believer in the value of immersive technological environments, affording tailored educational pathways for learner success, entrepreneurial access and education for young adults.
