Start-Up Pitchfest: The Winners

10 exciting new start-ups made the shortlist for our first ever start-up pitchfest. Find out how they fared with our judges and the audience at FOTE14.

We heard presentations from:

Each gave a three-minute elevator pitch describing their projects, before submitting to questioning from our judges, Dr Maren Deepwell (Chief Executive, ALT) and Nicola Yeeles (Education Technology).

The judges were looking to challenge the pitchers and explore their projects further. They were particularly concerned to really understand the intended audience for each product, how it differs from the current range of tools available, how they will reach their intended audience, and how the start-ups will be funded. The pitches were from projects and products at a variety of stages, from initial proof-of-concept through to fully fledged products.

The audience were asked to vote for their favourite start up to decide the title of the first FOTE Start-up Pitchfest.
